The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money.

When buyers are looking for a place to live, they don't ask a Real Estate professional to find a home they can feel warm and safe in. They ask for a house with 3 bedrooms, hardwood floors and a separate garage. The buyer is communicating to the agent the specifications of the home. When a buyer is at the touring point, it means that the property has already met their specifications for size, location, etc. As a staging consultant, my job is to help those buyers fall in love with this house so they can feel safe and warm in it, they can envision their family living and entertaining in this space, and ultimately create a desire to buy.

Providing a warm, comfortable and inviting space is something I learned early in life. My mother always had a way of applying the finishing touches to make a space feel welcoming. She was staging, and didn’t know it! So it has come natural to me to want to evoke the same feeling in my own home, as well as in the homes of others.

As a Certified Canadian Staging Professional™ (CCSP), I work with Real Estate agents and homeowners to prepare properties for sale by turning tired spaces into revitalized places! With a focus on details, I can create a series of impressions using the homeowner’s things in addition to the careful placement of a few props to appeal to the psychological needs of buyers…without spending a lot of money! This helps in building an emotional connection for buyers to imagine themselves living there.
